About Mary Natale

Hello! I’m Mary Natale, a teacher and author of children’s books.
Ever since I was little, I’ve loved writing stories. When I was seven, I wrote my first tale, Finding the Ruby in the Jungle, while sitting at the kitchen table. My passion for storytelling comes from my mom, who would tell my sister and me stories to encourage us to finish our dinner. I vividly remember nibbling on liver (yuck!) while she recounted the fable of The Ant and the Cricket.
As an adult, I became a teacher of young children, sharing my love of stories with them. I strive to help all children see themselves in a positive light and encourage them to always do their best.
One summer, after many years, I picked up my pen again and decided to follow my childhood dream. I wrote over a dozen magical adventure stories for children, and one of them is now published: Tumbleweed, The Fairy Without Wings.
I live in Southern Ontario with my husband, our eldest son, and our beloved dog, Charlie. Our youngest son just got married—hurray! When I’m not writing, I love to putter around in the garden and talk to the fairies, sip hot cocoa while reading children’s books, and whip up delicious, healthy meals.
